In 2015, the friendly Federal Democratic Republic of Nepal was hit by the worst earthquake in 80 years, causing the destruction of thousands of houses. RHF was among the first to provide humanitarian and relief materials to the people of Nepal. This was as follows:

Relief Shipments

Sending 2 Shipments that contain 100 Tons of relief materials, food, medicines, tents, blankets, and water purifiers, in addition to food supplies donated by the Bahraini people.

Bahraini youth Delegation

Under the leadership of Dr. Mustafa Al-Sayed, RHF’s Secretary-General, a delegation of Bahraini youth was dispatched to Nepal to contribute to the relief of the Nepalese people, along with 25-strong medical team including doctors and nurses specialised in humanitarian relief to assist the search and rescue teams in Nepal.

In 2014, and under the directives of His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al-Khalifa, King of Bahrain, to support the Arab Republic of Egypt, Royal Humanitarian Foundation worked on the following Projects:

Building the Kingdom of Bahrain School

RHF built the Kingdom of Bahrain School in Al-Sharqiya Governorate, in Abu Kabir Centre, in Abu Qoura village. The school accommodates 600 students, with a two-shift system; the morning shift for the primary and intermediate stages and the evening shift for the literacy programs.
With the possibility of future expansions, the school consists of 15 classrooms, a library, a computer lab, a science lab, rooms for the administrative and educational staff, a sports for volleyball, football, handball and basketball, and a meeting hall. It features around the clock security.

Projects with the Egyptian House of Zakat and Charity

In November 2015 and under the directives of His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al-Khalifa, and under the auspices of the Personal Representative of His Majesty the King for Charity Work and Youth Affairs, Chairman of RHF’s Board of Trustees, HRH Shaikh Nasser bin Hamad Al-Khalifa, RHF’s Secretary-General Dr. Mustafa Al-Sayed launched the Kingdom’s projects in Egypt to be carried out by RCO in cooperation with the Egyptian House of Zakat and Charity. These projects include the building of two complexes and two health centres for Al Azhar Al Sharif.

Republic of Yemen

Under the directives of His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al-Khalifa, King of Bahrain, proceeding from the humanitarian ties between the different peoples of the world, and out of the keenness of His Majesty the King to ease the suffering of the Yemeni people under the difficult circumstances they are going through, RCO formed the National Committee for Relief of Brethren in Yemen in 2015 to help those affected by the war going on in several provinces. The Bahraini aid was as follows:

First Batch of Aid

Under the program aiming to restore hope to the Yemeni people, RCO dispatched the first shipment of humanitarian relief to Yemen. Containing 910 tons of medical supplies, food, water and tents, it is considered the largest relief shipment sent to the Yemeni people who are in dire need of it. The shipment’s timing and size reflect the keenness of His Majesty the King to alleviate the suffering of the people of Yemen during the holy month of Ramadan. The shipment was delivered to the UN Relief Agency and King Salman Humanitarian Aid and Relief Centre at Djibouti seaport under the Hope Campaign for Yemeni brothers (Humanity without Borders) to be distributed as soon as possible to the largest number of people across Yemen.

Second Batch of Aid

To continue to support our brothers in Yemen and alleviate their suffering, a delegation from RCO delivered the second shipment of relief assistance to the Yemeni people on August 14, 2015. The shipment was delivered by Aden International Airport to contribute to the provision of basic needs of medical and relief materials in that important phase after the liberation of Aden and several provinces in Yemen. That shipment was one of the first shipments to arrive in Aden after its liberation, and it included medical materials commensurate with the humanitarian situation in Yemen.
Moreover, the delegation made a field visit to Aden to get a picture of the nature of damage to buildings, vital facilities and houses caused by the war.

Third Batch of Aid

To continue implementing the directives of His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al-Khalifa to support our brothers in Yemen and to within the Kingdom of Bahrain participation in the ‘Return of Hope’ program to the Yemeni people, the Personal Representative of His Majesty the King for Charity Work and Youth Affairs, Chairman of RCO’s Board of Trustees, HRH Shaikh Nasser bin Hamad Al-Khalifa, delivered the third aid shipment to the Yemeni people on October 2015. It was delivered to the Arab Coalition leadership and it comprised of essential food and materials to alleviate the suffering of the Yemeni people.

The achievements of the Royal Humanitarian Foundation under the patronage of His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al-Khalifa, King of Bahrain and the Honorary President of the Royal Humanitarian Foundation, with the generous support of the esteemed government under the leadership of His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al-Khalifa, Crown Prince and Prime Minister, have accomplished to complete the march of goodness and giving, by establishing pioneering humanitarian projects through the Royal Humanitarian Foundation under the leadership of His Highness Sheikh Nasser bin Hamad Al-Khalifa, Representative of His Majesty the King for Humanitarian Works and Youth Affairs. These achievements have placed the Kingdom of Bahrain among the leading countries in the charitable and humanitarian field.

Therefore, it is necessary to introduce the remarkable development and growth occurring in the Royal Humanitarian Foundation to the public and shed light on the distinguished vision and aspirations of His Majesty the King in charitable and humanitarian works achieved by providing outstanding living aid and support to the needy and relief aid to the afflicted in a respectful manner that preserves their dignity and insuring them a decent life.

This website presents some achievements that convey a partially bright image of the Kingdom of Bahrain’s achievements in humanitarian affairs accomplished by extending a selfless helping hand as Islam and authentic Arabic customs dictate us.

Successful institutions are those that know how to deeply root the elements of success to harvest the fruits in the long run. RHF has been able to effectively achieve this in several charitable investment projects that ensure institutional sustainability in the light of the major world changes. Undoubtedly, the first supporter of this sublime approach is His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al-Khalifa, King of Bahrain and RHF’s Honorary President. This approach is also supported by the wise government under the leadership of HRH Prince Khalifa bin Salman Al-Khalifa, the Prime Minister, and HRH Prince Salman bin Hamad Al-Khalifa, the Crown Prince, Deputy Supreme Commander and First Deputy Prime Minister.

Despite the numerous achievements that we are proud of, our ambition did not and will not stop at a certain limit. We aspire to draw a smile on the faces of orphans and wipe their tears, help widows and the needy, provide relief to those in distress, and be the Kingdom’s hands extended to offer good to all those in need.In implementation of the vision and aspirations of His Majesty the King vested in this blessed Organization, we strive to be the imprint of good, smile of hope and healing balm for all the needy in various parts of the planet.

I also wish to express my deepest gratitude for the loyal staff who have been able through their sincere efforts to advance and promote this charitable edifice, which has become an important beacon among Bahrain’s institutions.

The Royal Humanitarian Foundation (RHF) works on activating the charitable investment project in relation to building the two towers on the land in Sanabis area given by His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa, may Allah protect him.

Therefore, based on the royal directives, RHF works on producing creativity in providing its charitable and humanitarian services. Constructing the towers comes in line with the wise vision of HM the King to uplift the living level of RHF’s families and to provide different services for its people, of which the profit of these towers will be allocated for RHF’s charitable and humanitarian works.

Abraj Alkhair project consists of 23 floors for each tower:

 

  • 18 floors (offices – 52 offices for each tower)
  • 3 levels parking lots (309 parks for both towers)
  • 2 mezzanines for each tower
  • Ground floor (reception – commercial space) for each tower

Abraj Alkhair project is considered to be one of the charitable and developmental projects of which RHF works on implementing to upgrade the standard of living for the families of RHF as well as for all eligible categories in the Kingdom, and also to diversify RHF’s financial resources through such investment projects which are aimed at achieving this goal.

Aljasra Villas

The project comprises a 6 luxury investment villas, each with an average area of 800 square meters. Each villa consists of two floors, four bedrooms, a garden and a swimming pool in addition to exterior facilities, including a servant room, outdoor kitchen and garage for two cars.

Alhidd Building

The project is a commercial and residential multi-storey building. It was built in Al-Hidd area. Over a land area of 300 square meters, the building consists of 4 floors, 4 shops with mezzanine, and 13 residential apartments with their car parking area..

In a move to strengthen the values of endowment between national institutions, RHF has been keen to make optimal use of the Royal Order to allocate 10 percent of the profits of Seef Real Estate Company to support RHF’s resources for orphans, contributing to the development of many charitable projects undertaken by RHF.
